Bentonite Clay (3 sizes)

  • $10.00

Geologically, Bentonite is a volcanic ash deposited in sea water approximately 60 million years ago.  This mineral-rich Bentonite is a swelling-type clay containing only 14 to 17 elements - one of the lowest number of elements to comprise a mineral on earth. This low mineral count is believed to be partially responsible for the high absorptive properties in the clay. Beneficial for oily skin and acne-prone skin. It is considered the most potent clay for cleansing the skin and body.

Bentonite clay becomes negatively charged when it comes into contact with water. Since impurities, free radicals, and other toxins are positively charged, this clay pulls the impurities from the skin like a magnet. It is also the most powerful of clay skin care masks to use for drawing impurities from the skin and increase circulation. You’ll know this because you won't be able to move your face at all after it dries and you’ll be quite red afterwards. It is quite potent. But don’t let that scare you away from using it.

As a clay face mask, apply this clay twice a week on problem areas, you’ll notice that your pores will appear smaller because the clay pulls out blackheads, leaving the pores tightly closed preventing further plugs with regular use. Thin out the mixture with more water for sensitive skin.

The Ritual

For oily skin: Mix 1/2 a tablespoon of Bentonite Clay with 1-2 tablespoons or more of water to create a paste and apply to the face and neck area, avoiding sensitive areas.
For dry and Sensitive skins:  Add a few drops of our Camellia Everlast Facial Serum to the Bentonite clay mixture. Apply to the face and leave it for about 10-15 minutes. Avoid allowing the mask to dry completely. When the mask is still damp to the touch, wash off the clay mask with warm water.
