Our Story

Botanical skin care, thoughtfully made in Toronto.

Careful Body Care grew from a simple belief: caring for your skin should feel thoughtful, uncomplicated and deeply connected to the ingredients you use.

We are a family-run, mother-and-daughter skin care company based in Toronto, Canada. Together, we develop and refine our formulas in small batches, combining carefully selected botanical oils, butters, herbs and other skin-loving ingredients to create products that feel as beautiful to use as they are considered in their formulation.

Our approach has always been hands-on. From researching ingredients and developing formulas to blending, filling and packaging, care is woven into every stage of the process.

At the Heart of Careful Body Care

One of the signatures of our collection is our Calendula + Rose infused olive oil.

Calendula and rose petals are slowly infused into extra virgin olive oil, creating a rich botanical infusion that brings its beautiful colour, character and conditioning feel to many of our salves, body butters and scrubs.

It has become part of the DNA of Careful Body Care and one of the ingredients that connects many of our formulas.

We believe small-batch skin care allows us to remain close to what we create.

Our formulas are thoughtfully prepared in limited quantities with attention to texture, aroma, consistency and the overall experience of using the product.

Rather than chasing an endless catalogue, we focus on creating a considered collection of products designed to become part of your everyday skin-care ritual.
